When is a husband accountable for his wife's actions: after the marriage contract (aqd al-qiran) or after consummation (al-dukhul biha)?

God has made men responsible for women, and a man must, by virtue of this responsibility, obligate his wife to wear the hijab and fulfill other religious duties, even if this is before consummating the marriage, because she has become his wife through the contract. If the contract stipulates a delay in consummation, then he must advise her, enjoin good, and forbid evil to the best of his ability.
