Is the phrase "Then a child fell between her legs, and she stained what was there with blood" in the Hadith of the blind man who killed his slave-woman authentic and firmly established from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him? And if so, can this be interpreted to mean that the man was blind and unaware of her pregnancy, or that the child did not die?

The hadith concerning the incident of the killing of the Jewish woman who used to insult the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has a good chain of transmission and has been accepted by imams such as Abu Dawud, Al-Nasa'i, Imam Ahmad, Al-Hakim, Al-Dhahabi, Ibn Hajar, and Al-Albani. It also has other corroborating narrations that strengthen its authenticity.

The established incident did not mention the presence of a fetus in the Jewish woman's womb; the two children mentioned in the narration were her own children who were near her.

This story is evidence of the justice of Muslims in their treatment of the People of the Book, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was keen on their rights. However, it also indicates that whoever insults the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from among the People of Dhimma forfeits their right to protection and deserves to be killed.

The execution of a Hadd punishment is not restricted to the Imam or his deputy in all cases. In some cases, it is permissible for someone other than the Imam to execute Hadd punishments, especially concerning those who aggress against the religion.
