The Muhajirun (Emigrants) and Ansar (Helpers) are the best of the Ummah after the prophets. Their hearts were filled with the love of Allah and His Messenger, and they sacrificed themselves and their wealth to support the religion. Allah praised them in the Quran, and the Messenger made their love a part of faith and their hatred a part of hypocrisy. The Muhajirun are those who embraced Islam before the conquest of Makkah and emigrated to Madinah, leaving their homes and wealth seeking Allah's pleasure. As for the Ansar, they were the people of Madinah who welcomed the Messenger and the Muhajirun, sheltering them, sharing their wealth with them, and striving in the cause of Allah. Allah Almighty described them as truthful and selfless, and promised them Paradise. Among the best companions are Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, and all ten who were promised Paradise were from the Muhajirun. From the Ansar were Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, Sa'd ibn Ubadah, and others.
