Is it permissible to return to the person who gave the hijab containing names of devils to seek healing, after other avenues of treatment have narrowed?

Allah tests His servants with illnesses to expiate their sins and raise their ranks. He, the Exalted, has legislated seeking both physical and spiritual remedies (ruqyah). Legitimate ruqyah is performed with the Qur’an, Prophetic supplications, and beneficial words free from polytheism, and it is recited in the Arabic language. It is not permissible to hang "hijabs" (amulets) or talismans, whether they contain Qur’an or otherwise, because Islamic law forbids it. It is also forbidden to go to charlatans and sorcerers.

The correct treatment depends on: 1. Turning to Allah and having certainty that healing comes from Him. 2. Persistently engaging in remembrance (dhikr) and reciting the Qur’an. 3. Using repeated legitimate ruqyah. 4. Removing reprehensible things from the home, such as pictures, statues, and music, as they prevent healing and attract devils.

With the belief that victory comes with patience and relief with distress, and by enduring affliction while seeking treatment, the servant attains the reward of the patient.
