Is it permissible to pray in a room that is open to a place where there are statues that are difficult to remove?

Prayer in a place containing a statue's image is valid, whether the person praying is aware, ignorant, or forgetful. However, if the statue's image is in the direction of the Qibla, then it is a disliked act (makruh) due to its resemblance to the actions of idol worshippers. The jurists have agreed on the dislike of praying with an image of a forbidden animal in the direction of the Qibla, but they differed if the image is not in the direction of the Qibla.

The Hanafis consider it disliked to wear clothing with images of animate beings, or for such images to be above the worshipper's head, or in front of them, or beside them, or in the place of prostration, or behind them. The Shafi'is explicitly stated the dislike of wearing clothing with images, or praying towards it, or upon it. The Hanbalis dislike praying towards a set-up image, but do not dislike praying towards a non-set-up image. They do not dislike prostrating on an image, nor the presence of an image behind the worshipper, or above their head, or on either side of them. The author did not find the Malikis addressing this issue.
