Is a man naturally inclined to polygyny, and is he dissatisfied with one wife even if she fulfills all her duties?

Polygyny is permissible in Islamic law. However, it is not an inherent, fixed desire within men; rather, both men and women desire tranquility and affection. The majority of Muslims are content with one wife. The choice between polygyny and monogamy depends on a man's circumstances and interests. Many scholars have recommended limiting oneself to one wife for the sake of one's faith and to avoid disputes. There is no need to worry about the future; instead, one should have a good opinion of Allah and supplicate for guidance and lawful sustenance.
