I struggle with obsessive thoughts about cleanliness after urination. I usually wipe with tissue until the traces of urine are gone, but sometimes there are still traces of pre-ejaculate or other discharges. I keep wiping excessively out of fear that these might block water from reaching the skin. Can I move on to washing with water once the urine is gone, without worrying about the remaining discharges?

Al-Wadi is considered impure by consensus, and its ruling is the same as urine. It is a white fluid that comes out after urination. It is permissible to purify oneself from it with a tissue, and the cleansing from impurity can be done by washing with water or cleaning with a stone or tissue, unless it exceeds the usual area, in which case washing with water is obligatory. We advise the questioner who suffers from obsessions about impurity to fear Allah and refrain from indulging in obsessions, as purification is an easy matter and does not require hardship.
