Is it obligatory to leave a job at a usurious bank, in the external relations department—without dealing with clients or financial transactions—taking into consideration that the husband is unemployed and the questioner is responsible for two children?

It is not permissible to work in external relations management or any other work that serves a usurious bank and assists it in usury, because it falls under cooperation in sin and aggression, which Allah has forbidden in His saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses. Therefore, working in external relations is considered a clear form of assistance to the usurious bank.
