Is it permissible to sell materials harmful to the environment to someone who is most likely, or known, to dispose of them in the environment? What is the ruling on trading in chemical materials in general? Is it possible to continue working for this company under certain conditions?

An act that causes harm to people is forbidden by Islamic law, based on the hadith: "There should be no harm nor reciprocal harm." The company does not incur sin for selling materials in a proper manner and including the safety data sheet for each material. The sin falls upon those who violate the safety conditions. It is not the company's responsibility to monitor these manufacturers, but rather the responsibility of other entities. Therefore, there is no impediment to trading in these materials in this way, and there is no blame in working for the company.
