What is the correct, clear, and evidence-based guideline for a Muslim woman not to imitate disbelievers or men in dress, given that these two conditions are among the requirements of a Muslim woman's hijab?

The attire of a Muslim woman must not resemble that of men, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "He is not of us who imitates men among women, nor he who imitates women among men." Nor should it resemble the clothing of disbelieving women, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." The criterion for blameworthy imitation is wearing what is specific to men or to disbelieving women. As for what has become widespread among Muslims and is no longer specific to disbelievers, wearing it is not considered imitation, unless it is forbidden for another reason, such as not covering the 'awrah (private parts).
