What is the ruling on saying: "Were it not for my fear of the All-Merciful, I would have made your love the sixth pillar"?

A Muslim must beware of slips of the tongue, for a word can plunge its speaker into Hellfire further than the distance between East and West, as stated in the Hadith: "Are people thrown into Hellfire on their faces, or on their nostrils, except for the harvest of their tongues?" The phrase "Were it not for my fear of the Most Merciful, I would make your love the sixth pillar" is among the blameworthy exaggerations, and a Muslim should not utter it. The pillars of Islam are great, and their designation is not entrusted to people; rather, they are among what Allah Almighty has legislated.
