Is it permissible for a Muslim to inquire about matters of marriage in Paradise, given that malice, envy, and rancor will be removed from hearts there, and taking into account that his question might be understood to imply that he guarantees entry into Paradise?

Firstly, be keen on the means by which Paradise is attained and strive to achieve them, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it with the striving due to it while he is a believer - then it is those whose striving is appreciated." (Qur'an 17:19). And the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to one who asked him about the Hour: "What have you prepared for it?" This is because preparation for the Hereafter is the most important. There is no harm in asking about this matter as long as there is no proof prohibiting it. What supports its permissibility is what was narrated from Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her, when she asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about a woman who marries twice: "To which of them will she belong in the Hereafter?" He replied: "To the one with the best character among them."
