Is repeating the IVF procedure multiple times after it has failed considered wasteful and forbidden?

If the Islamic conditions for IVF are met, and the trustworthy doctor does not predominantly believe it will fail, then there is no objection to repeating it several times. The money spent on this is not considered extravagance, because seeking a child is permissible, and because this falls under the category of lawful medical treatment which the Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged.
