Is it permissible to own a receiver dedicated to Islamic channels, which only broadcasts channels of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (Sunni Muslims) and does not feature images of women or music, knowing that the questioner swore an oath of divorce three times not to bring any receiver into his house, and he meant by that the corrupt channels?

The majority of scholars and the four Imams hold the view that swearing an oath by divorce, like a conditional divorce, takes effect if the condition is met. However, Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Qayyim differentiated, stating that if one intended divorce, then it is a conditional divorce, but if one intended prevention and threat, then it is a conditional oath. Since the questioner intended divorce, the matter depends on his intention and the reason for his oath. He intended by his oath the immoral channels, so divorce does not occur with other beneficial channels unless he had an intention contrary to that.
