Does Zakat become obligatory upon a Hanafi orphan if his guardian is Shafi'i, knowing that the Hanafi school does not obligate Zakat on an orphan's wealth?

Scholars have differed regarding zakat (definition) on an orphan's wealth. The majority holds that it is obligatory, while the Hanafis maintain that it is not obligatory except for the ushr (tithe on agricultural produce) and zakat al-fitr. The preponderant opinion is that of the majority. If the guardian believes that zakat is obligatory on the orphan's wealth, then he must disburse it, and no attention should be paid to the madhhab (definition) (school of thought) of the orphan's father or the orphan's own opinion.
