Is the distress concerning the completion of a master's degree after performing Istikhara and experiencing facilitation of affairs an indication that it should not be completed, or should it be completed and one be content with what Allah decrees?

The fatwa is that the person seeking guidance should proceed with the matter and not abandon it unless Allah diverts them from it. Istikhara (seeking Allah's guidance) is not prescribed for reprehensible matters, such as a woman traveling without a mahram (unmarriageable kin). Therefore, istikhara is not permissible for such matters, nor is it permissible to embark on them.
