Does the dying person actually see the angels of mercy or punishment and speak with them?

Upon the throes of death, both the believing and disbelieving servant see angels. The believer sees angels of mercy bringing him good tidings of خیر (goodness) and Paradise, while the disbeliever sees angels of torment bringing him tidings of Hellfire and Allah's wrath. The angels speak to the dying person; they may give the believer glad tidings of Paradise and inform the disbeliever of disappointment and loss. The dying person may also speak with them, and even if unable to articulate, it may be through the heart or by gesture.
