Closeness to Allah prevents devils from gaining control, as Allah Almighty said: "Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them." The statement by the aforementioned sheikh and your colleague that devils are close to you suggests the possibility of sorcery being involved, because knowing the proximity of devils is not possible. We advise you to follow the previously mentioned treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder, and there is no harm in performing ruqyah (Islamic exorcism).
