The question

How can one get rid of severe obsessive thoughts that have led to isolation from people and work, and caused stress, and is what has afflicted me considered a demonic touch, an evil eye, or sorcery, and what is meant by "one who believes in sorcery" in the noble Hadith?

The answer

Obsessive whispers (waswas) afflict everyone who turns to Allah. They are from Satan, and one should remain steadfast against them and not surrender to them.

Regarding dogs, it is better to emulate the Maliki school of thought, which holds them to be pure, because it is the madhhab of the questioner's country, and it is considered a way to turn away from waswas.

As for believing sorcerers, the noble Hadith states: "Three will not enter Paradise: a habitual drunkard, one who severs ties of kinship, and one who believes in magic." Sorcerers and soothsayers must be disbelieved, for whoever believes them has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad. I recommend reading the book "The World of Jinn and and Devils" by Dr. Omar Sulaiman Al-Ashqar.
