It is disliked for a woman to shave her head except for a valid reason, such as sores or similar ailments. It is forbidden for her to shave it due to a calamity, or against her husband's prohibition, or to imitate men, disbelievers, or prostitutes. If she needs to shorten her hair, there is no harm in that without a specific limit, but it is preferable not to exceed the length of the 'wafra'.
