Is a woman sinful if she removes hair or trims her nails and disposes of them during menstruation, and is it obligatory to wash them before disposing of them?

Some women's claim that body parts removed during menstruation, such as hair and nails, will return on the Day of Resurrection in a state of impurity due to their uncleanness, is a false belief. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah responded by stating that a believer does not become impure, whether alive or dead. There is no legal evidence prohibiting the removal of hair or cutting of nails for one who is in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity) or menstruation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded those who embraced Islam to remove the hair of disbelief and to undergo circumcision, and he did not command them to delay that. He also commanded 'Aisha to comb her hair while she was menstruating, and combing may lead to some hair falling out. Shafi'i jurists affirmed the permissibility for a menstruating woman to remove hair and nails, and Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen agreed with this, explaining that this saying has no basis in Islamic law.
