Is a woman obligated to remove hair from her hands and legs, similar to armpit and pubic hair, especially if that is difficult and strenuous, or at the husband's request, and is it permissible for her to go to a salon to remove this hair?

Hair on the hands and feet is among that which the Lawgiver has remained silent about. Therefore, some scholars have gone to the extent of prohibiting its removal, considering it an alteration of Allah’s creation. Others have gone to the extent of permitting its removal or retention, because it is among that which has been left unaddressed [by the Lawgiver]. This latter opinion is what was chosen by the scholars of the Permanent Committee and Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen. It is desirable for spouses to adorn themselves for one another. If the husband commands his wife to remove hair from her hands and feet, and there is no harm to her in doing so, then she must obey him. As for going to a salon to remove hair, it is permissible under certain conditions: that a woman performs the removal, that other women do not see the woman’s 'awrah (private parts), and that the salon is not a place where 'awraat are exposed.
