What is the ruling on playing the Qur’an for protection from devils or sleeping to it, or along with the mother’s tasbeeh and her reading from the Mushaf?

Reading the Qur’an and the prescribed remembrances (adhkar) expels devils from the home, whether the reading is live or via a recorded tape. It is recommended to listen attentively to anyone who hears the Qur’an from tapes or otherwise. There is no harm in playing a Qur’an tape even if no one is in the house or no one is listening to it.
