Is it true that Idris was the first of the prophets and before Noah, as mentioned in some history books?

The first of the Messengers was Noah (peace be upon him), and the last of them was Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He who said that Idris was before Noah has erred, due to Allah's saying: "Indeed, We have revealed to you, as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him." And in the Hadith of Intercession, the people will come to Noah and say to him: "You are the first Messenger Allah sent to the people of the earth." As for Jesus (peace be upon him), he will descend at the end of time, ruling by the Law of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), because it is obligatory upon him and other prophets to believe in Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), due to Allah's saying: "And [mention, O Muhammad], when Allah took a covenant from the prophets: 'Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom, and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you must believe in him and support him.' [Allah] said, 'Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My covenant?' They said, 'We have acknowledged.' He said, 'Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.'"
