What deeds did the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, perform before his prophethood, and how can we emulate them in the current era of unemployment?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, herded sheep in Mecca and worked in Khadijah's trade before his prophethood. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, encouraged work and not asking people, saying: "For one of you to gather a bundle of firewood on his back is better for him than to ask someone who may give him or refuse him," and "The upper hand is better than the lower hand."

Therefore, young people should work in permissible professions that protect them from the humiliation of asking and relying on others. They should avoid anything that compromises their dignity and harms their honor. Allah will provide them with what He has destined for them. Greed should not lead them to the unlawful or to earnings that compromise dignity, and reliance on others should not prevent them from striving and taking means.
