What is the interpretation of the verse: (O you who have believed, whoever of you reverts from his religion – Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers) [Al-Ma'idah: 54] to the end of the verse?

The verse (O you who have believed, whoever of you reverts from his religion—Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who will be] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they will strive in the way of Allah and will not fear the blame of a blamer. That is the favor of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing) informs about Allah's ability to replace those who turn away from supporting His religion with better ones, as in His saying: (And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you). Commentators have differed concerning whom this verse was revealed, and Ibn Kathir mentioned that the characteristics of perfect believers are humility toward believers and might against disbelievers.
