What is the ruling on praying Dhuhr during a solar eclipse?

There is no objection to praying Dhuhr during an eclipse; in fact, it must be prioritized over the eclipse prayer if performing the eclipse prayer would cause Dhuhr to go out of its time. However, if Dhuhr would not go out of its time, then prioritizing the eclipse prayer is better. Al-Nawawi said: "If two prayers coincide at the same time, prioritize the one whose time is feared to elapse, then the more emphasized one." So, if there is a fear of missing the Eid prayer or Friday prayer due to limited time, they are prioritized over the eclipse prayer. But if there is no fear of missing them, then prioritizing the eclipse prayer is better because its time is feared to elapse.
