Is it permissible for pilgrims performing Umrah in Ramadan to break their fast upon reaching Makkah Al-Mukarramah, or must they continue abstaining from food?

The traveler performing 'Umrah may break his fast on his way to Mecca and while in it, unless he intends to stay for more than four days. In that case, it is more prudent for him to fast and complete the prayers. However, if he intends to stay for four days or less, he has the option to break his fast and shorten his prayers, or to fast and complete them, and he must pray in congregation. If the stay exceeds four days, then, according to the majority of scholars, he should fast and complete his prayers.
