How can a husband achieve justice between his two wives in terms of overnight stays, knowing that one lives with him in Kuwait and the other in Egypt, especially with his desire to take the wife residing with him to introduce her to his family in Egypt after three years of absence?

Scholars differed regarding the obligation of a man to apportion his time equally among his wives when one wife resides in another country. The majority of scholars obligate this, and she is compensated for what she missed, unless she waives her right or refuses to be present, in which case her right is forfeited. Others held that apportioning time is not obligatory in this case. If apportioning time is obligatory, then your husband must make up the time he spent with you to his other wife, and if she travels with him, he must apportion his time between you. However, if it is not obligatory, there is no compensation for what has passed, and he would alternate between you. To resolve the اختلاف (disagreement), the husband is advised to satisfy his second wife or bring her to him if possible, unless she waives her right or he divorces her if he cannot fulfill her right.
