What is the explanation of the Hadith: "This matter will reach wherever night and day reach, and Allah will not leave a house of mud nor a house of fur except that Allah will cause this religion to enter it, with the might of the mighty or the abasement of the abased; might with which Allah honors Islam, and abasement with which Allah humiliates disbelief," and how does this accord with Islam not entering some houses that were built and have ceased to exist?

This Hadith, and similar ones, indicates that the rule of Islam and the authority of its followers will prevail and become manifest, and people will either become Muslims or be under the authority of Muslims. It does not mean that all people on earth will convert to Islam. The Hadith is interpreted to mean that Islam will be mighty, and disbelief will be humbled. Some scholars believe that the intention is for Islam to reach all of the Arabian Peninsula and its surroundings, or to the east and west of the earth, but not its north and south. While others believe that the Hadith is general, and that this spread will occur gradually. As for all people on earth embracing Islam, that will happen at the end of time when Christ descends.
