How did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permit the sucking of his blood despite its impurity and the prohibition of swallowing it? And if he did not swallow it, what is the wisdom behind sucking it?

Al-Tabarani mentioned that Malik ibn Sinan sucked the blood of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he was wounded on the Day of Uhud. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, then said: "My blood has mixed with his blood; the Fire shall not touch him."

Scholars have unanimously agreed on the purity of the Prophet's blood and bodily excretions, among them Al-Nawawi, Al-Mardawi, Al-Hattab, and others. Al-Ramli transmitted the fatwa regarding its purity.

Al-Salihi narrated that Abdullah ibn Al-Zubayr drank the blood of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after a cupping session. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not condemn his action; rather, he said to him: "Perhaps you drank it?" and he affirmed it. Similarly, Asma bint Abi Bakr and her son, Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, and Safina did the same, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not condemn them, which indicates the purity of his blood.
