Is the “womb” mentioned in the Hadith: “The womb is suspended from the Throne, saying: ‘Whoever connects with me, Allah connects with him, and whoever severs me, Allah severs him,’” a created body that speaks, or is that metaphorical?

"Ar-Rahim" (the womb/kinship) is a concept, signifying kinship and lineage. The apparent meaning of the Hadith is that it was embodied, attached itself, and spoke. There is no impossibility in this, for Allah is capable of embodying concepts. This has been mentioned in several instances, such as the weighing of deeds, the coming of death in the form of a ram, and the coming of the reward of Surah Al-Baqarah and Al Imran in the form of two clouds. Ar-Rahim is a concept, but there is no impossibility in its embodiment and speech. The news of this has come, so belief and submission are obligatory.
