Is it permissible for a woman to supplicate against her husband’s family—who conspire against her with envy, jealousy, and incitement against her husband—by wishing that the husband’s family yearn to see their son (her husband) but never see him? And is this supplication considered a severance of kinship ties?

The supplication of the oppressed is answered if they do not transgress in their supplication. The wording of the supplication mentioned by the woman is inappropriate because it involves invoking evil upon an innocent person, who is her husband. Rather, it suffices for her to say: "O Allah, take revenge for me against them. O Allah, protect me from their evil however You wish." It is advised to be patient and to forgive the wrongdoers, and to respond to evil with good; as Allah Almighty says: "So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah," and "Repel [evil] with that which is better." Furthermore, honoring the husband's family is considered honoring him.
