Is receiving knowledge via tapes considered a violation of the concept of "the group" mentioned in the Hadith, and what is the detailed definition of "the group"?

Ahl al-Sunnah (definition) wa al-Jama'ah are those who adhere to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in word, deed, and conduct, and who are united upon this. If you receive sound knowledge derived from these two sources, apply it, invite to it, and cooperate upon it, you will be among them. Taking knowledge directly from scholars is preferable, but if that is not possible, then from tapes or similar means, while pausing at anything ambiguous until it can be inquired about.
