Is it permissible to work on a project to combat female genital mutilation for the purpose of marriage?

Female circumcision is a legitimate practice, oscillating between being obligatory and recommended. No jurist has ever forbidden it. However, harmful methods of performing it, such as Pharaonic circumcision, should be combated. If the project aims to combat incorrect forms while affirming proper circumcision, then there is no harm in participating in it. However, if the project's purpose is to combat circumcision entirely, then it is impermissible to work on it, as it contradicts Islamic law. One must adhere to what is lawful and abandon what is unlawful, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit inspired in my heart that no soul shall die until it completes its term and receives its full provision. So, fear Allah and be graceful in seeking [your provision]. And let not the delay in receiving provision lead any of you to seek it by disobeying Allah, for indeed, what is with Allah can only be attained through His obedience."
