What should I intend when re-performing the circumambulation this summer: Should I intend to re-perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah, or Tawaf Al-Wadaa’, or a single intention for both together? And what is the ruling on combining the intention for Umrah with the intention to re-perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah, the validity of which I was not certain of during Hajj?

If doubt about purity arises after completing the tawaf, it should be disregarded. However, if you are certain that you performed tawaf without purity, or you are certain of impurity and doubt whether you performed ablution or not, then your tawaf is invalid according to the majority of scholars. Therefore, you must repeat the tawaf. You remain in the state of ihram for Hajj, and it is not permissible to enter ihram for Umrah.

If you repeat the tawaf al-ifadah, you may then exit to perform Umrah from Tan'im. You are also required to offer a sacrifice (dam) to be slaughtered and distributed among the poor of the Haram for leaving the Farewell Tawaf, which is obligatory for anyone departing Mecca.
