What is the ruling on not giving an employee his wages in order to control him, and on dismissing him without his entitlements when he asks to leave the job, given that he is a religious person?

The relationship between an employer and an employee is one of ijarah (leasing of services), in which the employee is obligated to fully perform his work during working hours, and the employer is obligated to pay the full wage without delay, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "There are three whose adversaries I will be on the Day of Judgment," and he mentioned among them: "a man who hires a worker and benefits fully from his labor but does not give him his wage." Both parties must abide by the contract, as Allah the Almighty says: "O you who have believed, fulfill [your] contracts."
