You and your wife have committed a grave sin by intentionally breaking your fasts in . You both must offer sincere repentance and make up for the days you missed. As for you, there is an expiation (kaffara) for each day you had intercourse with your wife, which is: freeing a slave; if you are unable to do that, then fasting for two consecutive months; if you are unable to do that, then feeding sixty poor people. Feeding is not sufficient if you are able to fast. As for your wife, there is a difference of opinion regarding the necessity of expiation for her.
