What is the expiation for intentionally engaging in sexual intercourse with one's wife during the daytime in Ramadan while traveling, and is expiation obligatory for the wife if she was unwilling?

When a traveler returns to his hometown, the dispensations of travel cease. Therefore, if he arrives while fasting and then engages in intercourse during Ramadan daytime, he is obligated to offer expiation (kaffarah) in addition to making up the missed fast (qada'). His wife is also liable for expiation if she was fasting and compliant. This is the more cautious view held by most scholars. However, if she was not compliant, she is not liable for expiation. The expiation consists of freeing a slave; if one cannot find a slave, then fasting for two consecutive months; and if one is unable to do that, then feeding sixty poor people.
