Will God hold someone accountable for remembering a person they loved before marriage, despite loving their spouse and working to make them happy, and feeling guilty about it?

Marital life is a sacred bond based on faithfulness and affection. Allah, in His wisdom, permitted polygyny for men but not polyandry for women. It is not permissible for a woman to be attached to anyone other than her husband, as that is treachery and disobedience. The questioner must repent to Allah for her previous attachment to someone other than her husband, and she should frequently seek forgiveness (Istighfar) and engage in remembrance (Dhikr), while contemplating the عظمت of the husband's rights. She should occupy her time with acts of worship, caring for her family, seeking knowledge, and keeping company with righteous women, in order to distance herself from these thoughts. Allah Almighty says: (O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know) [Al-Anfal:27], and He says: (So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard) [An-Nisa:34].
