Is working for a television channel that operates on a chat-system basis, with good pay, contrary to Islamic Sharia?

A chat room is like any other gathering; the determining factor is what is said or done within it. If your work in the channel involves engaging in or promoting a forbidden act, then it is forbidden, because aiding in what is unlawful is impermissible. Allah the Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Furthermore, whoever calls to misguidance bears a burden of sin equivalent to that of those who follow him. Therefore, do not let the desire for a wage lead you to seek it through a forbidden matter. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "O people, fear Allah and be moderate in seeking (livelihood), for no soul will die until it receives its full provision, even if it is delayed."
