Does reciting "Iddat Yasin" against an oppressor or aggressor lead to an immediate punishment from God, such as loss of wealth or death?

Reading Surat Ya-Sin in a specific manner to harm others is a reprehensible innovation (bid'ah muhdathah). The described method of reading it is found in books of magic, and the narrations regarding its virtues are weak or fabricated. Allah has guided us to deal with oppressors through patience and forgiveness, or by supplicating against them, as the Prophets did. It is regrettable that most of those who engage in this reading are memorizers and teachers of the Quran.
