The answer

The causes of Allah's pleasure are summarized in faith and good deeds. Indeed, the believers who do good deeds are the best of creatures and attain gardens and Allah's pleasure. Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures. Their reward with their Lord will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. Allah will be pleased with them, and they will be pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears his Lord." (Al-Bayyinah 98:7-8). Faith includes belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree, both good and bad. As for good deeds, they include humility in prayer, turning away from idle talk, giving zakat, guarding one's chastity except with spouses and those whom their right hands possess, observing trusts and covenants, and maintaining prayers. Among the causes of Allah's pleasure are also hastening to obedience and avoiding disobedience, following the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), drawing closer to Allah through supererogatory acts like prayer and reading the Quran, and frequently remembering Him.
