Does touching the penis with the hand after performing ablution nullify the ablution, and does the ruling differ between touching it directly or over clothing, or between touching it with the palm of the hand or the fingertips?

The majority of scholars hold the view that touching the male organ without a barrier invalidates ablution (wudu'). Those who affirm its invalidation differ on the manner of touching that necessitates it. Some made no distinction between the outer and inner part of the hand, while others restricted it to the palm and the fingertips and their sides. Thus, touching with the back of the hand does not invalidate ablution according to the Malikis, whereas touching with the palm or the side or tip of a finger does invalidate it.
