A person afflicted with continuous flatulence is excused from attending congregational prayer to avoid disturbing other worshippers. However, a mere rumbling sound from the stomach without the emission of gas is not an excuse. It is advisable to go to the mosque and not miss the reward of congregational prayer unless there is a justifiable reason for discomfort.
