What is the proper way to dispose of tapes and discs bearing the names "Al-Kareem, Al-Qadeer," which are among the Beautiful Names of Allah?

The obligation to respect anything containing the names of Allah or His prophets is a matter of consensus, based on the Almighty's saying: "That [is so]. And whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah – it is best for him in the sight of his Lord," and "That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts." Tapes bearing the names of Allah can be disposed of by erasing the names, crossing them out, or removing them by any means, then discarding them; or by burying them in a respectful place; or by burning or tearing them, as the Companions did with damaged Qur'ans.
