What are the Surahs, supplications, and phrases that are recommended to be recited on Friday, and how many times should they be recited?
Friday is among the virtuous days on which it is recommended to frequently remember Allah the Almighty, for Allah the Almighty says: ﴿And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah often that you may succeed.﴾ [Al-Jumu'ah: 10]. Among the recommended remembrances are:
1. Frequently sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for he said: «So send much blessings upon me therein, for your blessings are presented to me.»
2. Reciting Surat Al-Kahf, for he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: «Indeed, whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, a light will illuminate for him between the two Fridays.»
3. Being keen on supplicating during the hour of response, in which no Muslim servant asks Allah the Almighty for anything except that He grants it to him. The most preferred opinion is that this hour is after Asr prayer.
