What is the meaning of the word "al-Munabathah" and what is its ruling in Islam?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the sale of munabadhah. This type of sale has several interpretations, the soundest of which is to make the act of casting (throwing a garment) a form of sale. This is unlawful and impermissible because it involves gharar (excessive uncertainty) and jahalah (ignorance).
