Is it permissible to perform Umrah and Hajj, build a mosque as a charitable endowment (waqf), seek forgiveness (istighfar), give charity (sadaqat), and donate on behalf of benefactors and mujahidin for a young man who died and with whom I had an online relationship?

Getting to know one another between young men and women is a gateway to temptation and corruption, and claims of sincerity and respect in it are false. One must repent from such relationships, avoid them, adhere to the bounds of Islamic law, and beware of the whisperings of Satan. Dedicating good deeds to the deceased is permissible, but as for the living, there is a difference of opinion among scholars.
