The inheritance of a deceased woman is divided among all her heirs, men and women. It is not permissible, according to Islamic law, to disinherit daughters, as this is an act of the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah). A daughter has the right to demand her share of the inheritance. As for the mother's bequest of gold to one of the children, it is not valid unless the other heirs approve it, due to the Hadith: "There is no bequest for an heir, unless the heirs wish it."
